Our Approach
CPW played a key role in building a £165m facility for The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre which provides 11 storeys of advanced and specialist cancer treatment, research and care, including a dedicated teenage and young adult unit.
This innovative scheme provides a 360-degree level of care for cancer patients, including chemotherapy, BMT, MRI, immunotherapy and radiotherapy with both inpatient and outpatient services.
The use of mechanical ventilation throughout gives maximum patient comfort and control.
Excellent quality daylight and a full LED, patient centric lighting solution with sophisticated controls is energy efficient and supportive of clinical outcomes.
The adjacent new built Liverpool Royal Hospital allowed the MEP design to be seamlessly integrated into the wider healthcare campus with shared services for maximum efficiency.
The ‘Transforming Cancer Care Project’ was designed as a high quality patient environment from the ground up.
The hospital won ‘Project of the Year’ in the North-West Regional Construction Awards 2020.
The completed project also achieved BREEAM ‘Excellent’
